I provide individual therapy for youth, adolescents, and young adults. I am not a one-size-fits-all psychologist. I practice a variety of types of therapy (PCIT, CPP, CBT, Trauma Focused therapy, Psychodynamic, Relational, Play Therapy, etc.) and make adjustments to do what work will work best for the person in front of me. At the heart of any therapy I provide is relationship, compassion, empathy, and respect for identity.
I specialize in trauma treatment. We know that trauma can look different in children. Tantrums, picky eating, separation anxiety, behavioral issues at school, regressing into child-like behaviors. For adolescents and young adults, there may be decreased school or work performance, increased risky behaviors, and increased depression and anxiety symptoms. By uncovering and processing these difficult experiences, we can forward toward healing and integration to be the people we want to be.
We know that all the therapy skills the in the world make no difference if a person does not a trusting, genuine, therapeutic alliance. I strive to create a comfortable and genuine environment where clients can begin to recognize patterns, practice new skills, and ultimately improve their relationships and meet their goals. To determine if working with me will be a good fit, I encourage you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
