Service Description

This 6 month long training provides mental health providers with the training and consultation needed to deliver the Integration of Working Model of the Child into Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (IoWA-PCIT). Providers learn: 1) to administer and interpret standardized assessments of parent-child interaction based on attachment and behavioral principles 2) to administer and interpret standardized assessments of disruptive behavior 3) to coach parents in Child-Directed Interaction (CDI) and Parent-Directed Interaction (PDI). To learn more about the trainer, visit the About Me page. Providers begin delivering IoWA-PCIT following Part l training (June 17 to 21, 2024). Optional monthly consultation calls and Part ll training (December 11 to 13, 2024) support the implementation of IoWA-PCIT and tailoring coaching based on attachment, presenting problems, and other aspects of the patient population. Monthly consultation calls are not included in the CE credits and will be held at a date and time agreed upon by the group. Registration is complete when the form and fees are received. Refunds will not be available for registered participants. 41 CE hours are available for active participants upon successful completion of Parts 1 and 2.
